Agricultural Studies Minor


The Agricultural Studies Minor requires the successful completion of 15 semester hours of courses, to include:

AGSC 108: Introduction to Agricultural Systems (4)

OR

AGSC 100: Food, Agriculture, and the Environment (4)

At least one of the following:

AGSC 110: Principles of Plant Agriculture (4)
AGSC 314: Principles of Soil Science (4)
AGSC 218: Introduction to Horticulture (3)
AGSC 310: Forage Crops (3)
AGSC 311: Plant Nutrition (3)

At least one of the following:

AGSC 215: Principles of Animal Agriculture (4)
AGSC 320: Anatomy and Physiology of Domestic Animals (4)
AGSC 321: Animal Nutrition (4)
AGSC 327: Genetics of Plant and Animal Improvement (3)
AGSC 352: Animal Reproduction (3)

The remainder of the required 15 credit hours may be met with any course bearing an AGSC prefix and is not limited to the courses listed above. Please note that neither AGSC 391/392 (Internship in Agriculture) nor more than 3 hours of AGSC 301 (Special Problems in Agricultural Science) may be taken to fulfill the requirements of the Agricultural Studies Minor.
