DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES

This course will include practical use and application of anthelmintics, antibiotics, vaccines, insecticides and growth stimulants. Participation in handling livestock, docking, pregnancy diagnosis, castration, dehorning, and foot trimming is required. The class will be a combination of classroom lecture and hands-on work with livestock. The class may meet at the University Farm, local farms, or in Barnett Hall 152
