COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is a study of the process of efficient lamb and wool production under humane conditions. The course will cover genetics, breeding, reproduction, health, nutrition, marketing and management. Trips to various producers, guest speakers and videotape presentations will supplement the lecture component of the class. Hands-on work with sheep at Animal Health Technologies facility may be required depending on the interests of students enrolled in the course.
