AGSC 322: ANIMAL HEALTH
Susan Guffey, DVM 164 Barnett Hall 785-4408 (Office) sguffey@truman.edu COURSE OBJECTIVE The objective of this class is to provide the student with a basic understanding of some of the mechanisms involved in an animal maintaining its health, some of the mechanisms involved in disease pathogenesis, and some of the ways that humans as owners and caretakers can influence or prevent the disease process. An overall summary of basic infectious diseases, non-infectious diseases, parasites, and vaccination recommendations for cattle, horses, and dogs and possibly other species will be discussed.
