Collegiate Farm Bureau Organizational Meeting (9/16/2009)
Collegiate Farm Bureau will have its first meeting of the fall semester on Thursday Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in Magruder 1094.
CFB is an organization of students with an interest in agricultural policy and business. It does several activities during the year, including a food drive and sponsoring a speaker forum for National Ag Week. It also hosts a "discussion meet" focused on agricultural issues; the winner of the campus discussion meet advances to compete in the state discussion meet. Last year Truman member Andrew Green also won the state meet and went on to compete in the national collegiate discussion meet in Sacramento, Calif.
Anyone with an interest in these types of issues and activities is encouraged to attend.
