Gettin' Ready For the Show (9/21/2009)
The Truman State Equestrian Team held a mock horseshow on Saturday, Sept. 19, as part of Truman State University Family Day activities. New team members competed in eight classes across stock and hunt disciplines. In addition to providing entertainment for visiting family and friends, the practice show helped new team members become acquainted with the IHSA show format and gave the team a chance to prepare to host the first IHSA stock show for the region, on Sept. 26 & 27. The show will be held on Saturday the 26th (1 p.m. start) and Sunday the 27th (10 a.m. start) at the University Farm (at the intersection of LaHarpe and South Boundary Streets). The show is free and open to the public.
