Visit to Poet Biorefining Ethanol Plant (10/7/2009)
The AGSC 340 "Futures and Options Markets" class recently visited the Poet ethanol plant in Macon, MO. The students met with grain merchandisers Matt Gerhold and Adair Hathaway and visited with them about the plant's strategies for procuring corn for ethanol production. Matt and Adair also shared tips on getting started in a career in grain marketing.
