Student Organizations

Because of the broad nature of the discipline of agriculture multiple student organizations exist for nearly every area of interest:

Alpha Gamma Rho:  a social and a professional fraternity primarily for Agricultural Science majors though students pursuing other career paths may also pledge.

Beef Cattle Show Team:  a student-based organization heavily involved in the showing and sale of cattle from the University-owned Gelbvieh herd.

Collegiate Farm Bureau:  Chartered in 1999 as the fifth chapter in the state, the Collegiate Farm Bureau adds a new dimension to campus agriculture organizations.

Delta Tau Alpha:  An organization that promotes and recognizes high standards of scholarship, leadership, and character among agriculture majors.

Equestrian Team:  For those equine students interested in competing in either Western or English disciplines.

Horsemans Association:  An organization focused on the more recreational aspects of horses, Horseman's sponsors two horse shows per year.

Internships:  A compilation of information about recently-completed internship experiences.

Pre-vet Club:  The Pre-vet Club is for both agriculture and biology majors.

Sigma Alpha:  A professional agricultural sorority which has lots of fun but also does many worthwhile service activities.
