What attracted you to Truman?
The way that the Ag program is set up. Every Ag major is required to take classes outside their focus or emphasis, which ensures that everyone graduating from the Truman Ag department is a well-rounded student.
What do you like best about Truman?
The atmosphere: everything is student-focused. Professors encourage every student to attend their office hours to get personal help if they need it. The University Farm operates with the help of student labor. It’s a great place to learn.
What do you like most about your classes?
The small size. It might be slightly cliché, but the small class sizes at Truman are really awesome. They help students master the material because they foster an environment that is more inviting, more welcoming, and more conducive to learning than a larger class would.
What do you feel is unique about Truman?
The fact that I can get a great education in three, mostly-unrelated areas (Agriculture/Equine, Business, and Spanish) is amazing to me. Truman is such a great opportunity for a great education.
Have you studied abroad, done an internship, or
participated in undergraduate research?
This summer I am planning on studying abroad in Salamanca, Spain. In the future, I would love to design and execute my own research project.
What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation I want to attend graduate school and pursue a degree in Equine Nutrition.
